How to prepare Kaimati

Kaimati, a common breakfast snack among the Swahili and Bajuni, get their unique taste from yeast.

Kaimati recipe
  • ½ (3 g) Tablespoon Wheat Flour,  Refined
  • 2 Cups Water, 
  • Put yeast in a small container.

  • Add 50ml of warmed water.

  • Add 4 tbsp. of sugar and allow to stand for 3 minutes.
